Regulatory enforcement

Grant was a partner of a leading global law firm for 20 years prior to joining Horton Rhodes in 2022. He was the head of that firm’s Chambers Band 1 Australian anti-bribery and corruption practice.

Grant has substantial experience advising clients subject to regulatory investigations and actions, including Australian Federal Police, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Australian Securities and Investment Commission, Royal Commission, and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission inquiries and proceedings.

Grant has an outstanding record of success in contested litigation, including defending ACCC and ASIC proceedings.

Grant is ranked as a Band 1 practitioner in anti-bribery and corruption by Chambers and as a Leading Individual in white collar crime by Legal 500. He has also been recognised as one of Australia’s leading regulatory enforcement lawyers by Benchmark Litigation, Doyle’s, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers. Mediation

Grant also has substantial experience as a commercial litigator. Chambers has described him as ‘an exceptional lawyer for bet the farm litigation’ and ‘a very clever, practical and commercial lawyer who will do everything he can to get his client the outcomes they need’.

Grant has been accredited under the National Mediation Accreditation System. He trained as a mediator at the Harvard Negotiation Institute and the Resolution Institute.
